About Us

We were enchanted by Guerfounus the first time we saw it and feel sure you will be too. We’re on hand to help you make the most of your break, whether you need information on local attractions or directions to Brittany’s historic towns and villages - and there’s no language barrier as we’re English.

You’ll find penned geese, ducks and chickens which provide us with fresh eggs and which we share with our guests. There’s also a very friendly boxer dog called Ruby, and an affectionate farm cat called Biscuit.

The pretty village of Carnoet, with its well-stocked shop and bakery, is just one kilometre from Guerfounus. It has recently won a Heritage competition to host the ‘Valley of the Saints’ on an ancient site where 1000 three metre high, locally carved, granite statues of saints will be placed over the coming years making Carnoet one of the greatest heritage attractions in Brittany, Fifty should be in place in 2010.
Six kilometres away is the bustling town of Callac, which hosts a traditional French market each Wednesday. Callac has a range of shops - from bakeries, to brocante and homewares - plus bars and restaurants. Nature lovers will find a beautiful lake and walks.

Guerfounus is centrally placed for easy access to the beautiful north and south coasts - and just an hour from the Atlantic coast.
And don’t worry about finding us - we’ll supply you with a comprehensive map from the ferry port.
